COVID-19: Successful Vaccination Of Health Workers, Volunteers Group Salutes PTF

National Volunteers Monitoring Initiative on Covid-19 has commended the Presidential Task Force on Covid 19 for completing the first round of administering of astraZeneca vaccine on health frontline workers successfully.

The Secretary General of the initiative, Comrade Yunusa Abubakar made the commendation in a press release made available to newsmen in Kaduna.

Comrade Yunusa Abubakar said the Presidential Task Force deserved commendation in view of their arrangements for the successful adminstration of the AstraZeneca vaccine which started from President Muhammadu Buhari and the Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo, Governors and their Deputies.

He explained that among those who were vaccinated are top government officials, traditional leaders and health frontline workers.

The Secretary General of National Volunteers Monitoring Initiative on Covid 19 Comrade Yunusa Abubakar also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for showing leadership by example for being the first Nigerian to be vaccinated with AstraZeneca vaccine.

He appreciated the Senate President Ahmed Lawal,the Speaker House of Representatives Mr.Femi Gbajabiamila, for also taking the lead in taking the jabs of the vaccine.

He also saluted Chairman of Presidential Task Force committe on covid-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation Mr.Boss Mustapha for his commitment towards making sure Nigeria also became among the first countries that benefitted from administring the vaccine.

He also appealed to Non governmental organisations, media, traditional and religious leaders not to relent in their effort to educate their people on the importance of following the protocol of covid 19.And also go out to be vaccinated.
