This saying epitomizes Dr. Aminu Aliyu’s uncommon character and impacts in Adamawa state in his official capacity as Governor Fintiri’s senior special assistant on primary healthcare.
Dr. Aminu Aliyu needs no introduction given his indelible track-record as a servant of the people especially to the thousands who were at the receiving end of his magnanimous healthcare outreach projects.
His appointment as special assistant to Governor Fintiri on primary healthcare was greeted with a lot of commendation and was described by many as a “jackpot” for the administration in light of Dr. Aminu’s resourcefulness and selflessness, qualities that have become the cornerstone of the Fintiri Government.
As the SSA on primary healthcare, Aminu Aliyu’s value addition to the sector cannot be overemphasized as he can unlock multi-dimensional collaborations and interventions with local, national, and international organizations in boosting the impact of primary healthcare on the people.
It is in recognition of this outstanding performance that his selection for the national public sector leadership and productivity award is befitting of a young man who is relentlessly hardworking, patriotic, loyal, and a source of inspiration for the young generation with his unmatched commitment to serving his state and country.
This national award is a product of the national productivity Centre under the federal ministry of labor and employment in partnership with leadership and professional ethics consult s part of a productivity summit marking Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary with the theme “Thriving at 60: Economic productivity under uncertain times – cutting through complexities and delivering value”.
In his remarks after receiving the prestigious Award, Dr. Aminu Aliyu says
“This nomination has filled me with a strong sense of pride. I am honored by the confidence you have reposed in me which builds competence and adds to my responsibilities.
Although as a recipient, several people have been a backbone for me through the years. My family has been my source of strength and has been with me through the challenges. His excellency, Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Governor of Adamawa State for providing me the opportunity to serve the people of Adamawa through this appointment as his senior special assistant. I consider this position as an opportunity to do what I have always wanted. Contribute to the improvement of the lives of the people in my community.
Her excellency, Dr. Zainab Bagudu, the First Lady of Kebbi State and the founder of Medicaid Cancer Foundation, has been a mother and mentor through the years giving me the push to go beyond boundaries.

To his principal, the executive Governor of Adamawa state, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, a man with unrivaled determination and purpose for a better Adamawa, the architect of Adamawa’s new beginnings, Dr. Aminu Aliyu is a square peg in a square hole and his ability to do his job excellently is a testament to the effective leadership style of Governor Fintiri.
The tell-tale signs of Dr. Aminu Aliyu’s courageous efforts in complementing the government’s drive to improve healthcare services to the people are indicative of the huge potentials of Adamawa youths who are significantly represented like never before in the current Administration.
