The National Peace and Unity Forum(NPUF) has urged all Nigerians to join Governor Babagana Zulum and the good people of Borno State in fasting and praying to Almighty God on Monday 24th, February for return of peace and security to Borno State, the North East and the entire country .
According to the Statement signed by Prof. Danfulani Ahmed (Dsc), President, National Peace & Unity Forum , ” The group, NPUF recently floated by some Nigerian patriots to promote peace and unity in Nigeria commends the Governor for promoting ethnic and religious harmony, as well as national unity through his recent appointment of Yoruba and Igbo into his cabinet.
The Forum also lauded the promotion and cash donation the Governor made to an Igbo class teacher in the state who was found to be extraordinarily dedicated to her job.
” In the light of above, the group at its executive committee meeting today, 21st February 2020 in Abuja unanimously appointed Governor Zulum as an Ambassador for Peace and National Unity, thus making him one of the group’s 100 Peace and Unity Ambassadors designate drawn from diverse sectors including elder statesmen and major stakeholders.
“While commending Nigerian Governors whose cabinets reflect federal character and spirit of bridge building, NPUF calls on other state Governors to do all that are humanly possible to unite Nigerians in their domains, in order to ensure that the House called Nigeria does not fall.
