The EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Office, on  Wednesday, played host to officials of the Nigeria Railway Cooperation on a fact finding mission on the issue of ticket racketeering at Rigasa Train Station, Kaduna, Northwest of the country.
The team which was led by James G. Zang, said they were in the Zonal office to find the effort so far made by the Commission on ticket racketeering.
Zang commended the EFCC for bringing sanity in the process of selling tickets by discouraging racketeers in the train stations, saying that those perpetrating the crimes were not Nigerian Railway Staff .
According to him, Â the NRC is working assideously towards making the e-ticketing platform a reality within the shortest possible time to completely eradicate rackeetering of tickets.
Head Kaduna Zonal Office of the Commission, Mailafia Yakubu, Â while responding on behalf of the Acting Executive Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, expressed happiness on the visit, Â promising that the Commission would do everything within it’s power to address the issue of ticket racketeering at train stations
The Kaduna Zonal Office had clamped down on touts at Rigasa Train Station and arrested some who engaged in tickets racketeering.
