Gov., Nasir-el-Rufai

Thursday 11th of July 2019 shall ever remain in the mind of Aliyu Jafa, aru Abubakar, a critic of El-rufa’i Administration purportedly slated to Man the Ministry of Agriculture but was rejected by the Kaduna State House of Assembly in North West Nigeria.

The unsuspecting nominee had appeared before the House for screening, beaming with the full hope of becoming a member of  El-rufa’i cabinet.

Aliyu had however forgotten that he was living by the ‘sword ‘ with which he could harm himself through his reactions to policies of the government on the Social Media.

It was against this backdrop, according to a competent source, the Governor tested him to know whether the nominee was actually a principled critic by setting a ‘trap’.

According to the source, Aliyu’s nomination was a set up to ridicule him.

Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Shagali, the Speaker of the House who confronted the nominee with his dossiers on the Social Media that nailed him, (Aliyu) said the rejection was as a result of his criticisms of the present Administration since 2017.

Shagali said Alhaji Jafaaru has been criticising one of the best policies of the present administration since 2017 which is education, especially the issue of disengagement of unqualified teachers in the state.

While quoting some of his posts, the speaker said “in your face book account, you said there is nothing like making kaduna state great again, it is a deceptive clinch used by politicians to deceive the masses, we will make Kaduna great at appropriate time.

“it is a responsibility for those who are truly sincere not for those who are inherently sarcastic.

You also said El-Rufai must learn to tackle issues with human face, and said you are an advocate of change that goes to the root and cause not only the symptoms,

“You also said in the same post, stop comparing me with El-Rufai who thinks he is more intelligent than intelligence itself,

“You however said you are a humble human being that believes that all that glitters is not gold there is nothing authoritarian in insisting on the truth and never speak truth,

“I detest insincerity as there are better ways of genuinely solving problems.” the speaker recalled.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the plenary, Chairman House committee on Media and Public Affairs, Alhaji Tanimu Musa, said the rejection of the Governors Nominee was as a result of him, Criticising the present administration.

“The evil that men do lives even after them, Jaafaru has been a critic of this administration on social media.” He said.

According to him, the Governor’s nominee has been criticizing the government, so why did he want to work with the government that he had been criticising.

Our Correspondent reports that the nominee was not allowed to defend himself.

Other nominees were screened and confirmed by the House They were

Thomas Gyang – Commissioner for Planning and Budget Commission, Hassan Usman Mahmud – Commissioner in the Governor’s office for Riots, Damage, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, and Atiku Musa as Auditor for  Local Government.
