Nigerian President Insensitive To Killings In Southern Kaduna, Says Advocacy Group

Kaduna (Nigeria) – President Muhammadu Buhari has been accused of being insensitive to the killings in southern Kaduna as “he neither talk against it nor visit the area while on official engagement in the State”.

The group, Centrum Initiative for Development and Fundamental Rights Advocacy, CEDRA made the accusation in a statement made available to AFRICA PRIME NEWS.

CEDRA said it was irked by the President’s scheduled visit to Kaduna, the capital city on Thursday without any indication to visit the area, more so that a first class paramount ruler was murdered.

“President Buhari’s conscious refusal to include visiting Southern Kaduna to commiserate with the immediate family, chiefdom and good people of Southern Kaduna over the killings as well as the murder of a first class paramount ruler goes contrary to his claim, to be a leader for all and for nobody” .

The statement recalled that the President was in Kaduna in September 2017 to commission a feed mill plant without making any effort to visit Southern Kaduna ,an act described by CEDRA as “I don’t Care”.

It argued that the President physically visited Zamfara State which was facing a similar situation and that since then the degree of insecurity had greatly scaled down and the people were now enjoying relative peace.

President Buhari is expected in Kaduna on Thursday to commission an Inland Container Depot.
