Kaduna Vaccinates 3 Million Children Against Polio

Kaduna (Nigeria) – Kaduna State Primary Health Care Agency (SPHCA) have put in place arrangement to vaccinate all children between 0-5 years in the state against poliomyelitis.

This is in line with the Commencement of June 2015 vaccination campaign in the state.

A statement by Secretary of Journalists against Polio (JAP) Kaduna State Chapter, Lawal Dogara quoted the outgoing Chief of the Agency, Dr. Sufiyan Muawuyya Babale saying 3 million children were being targeted.

According to JAP, “the Agency have already distributed vaccliomyelitisines to all the 23 Local Government Areas of the state for success of the exercise.”

The Agency have further “commended effort of traditional rulers and religious leaders for their role in eradicating the virus in the state.”

It urged them to re-double efforts for the overall success of the exercise.

JAP Secretary also tasked parents to give all needed support to staff of the agency, by ensuring that their children of between 0-5 years were vaccinated against polio.

The statement urged “parents to ensure that no child is left out during the exercise scheduled for June 4 – 11, 2015.”

The statement also commended Development Partners for their role in eradicating polio and other child killer diseases.Po
